The Federal Transparency and Access to Public Governmental Information Law (LFTAIPG) comes into effect on July 12th, 2002. With this Law you can access any public information in the hands of the government. A liaison unit exists in all agencies, entities, and decentralized bodies of the government, which is in charge of processing information requests from the public. If you wish to request information in person, you can visit the CFC, where you can find its liaison unit: Head of the Liaison Unit: Person in charge of the Web page: President of the Information Committee Person in charge of the Internal Control Body There are no public servants enabled to receive and process requests for access to information. Access to information is very easy; you do not need to indicate the purpose of your request nor do you need to provide personal information. Requests can be presented at the following address http://www.infomex.gob.mx If the information is classified as public, the response will be sent to you in the manner and through the means you indicated, in a term of no more than 20 working days. Before requesting information, please make sure it has not already been published on this page. All agencies and entities have the obligation of maintaining the following information permanently available in their Web page (Art. 7 of the LFTAIPG); here you will find information regarding the CFC. For additional information related to your right to access public governmental information, please visit the Federal Institute for Access to Public Information. The CFC is in favor of Governmental Transparency and promotes the exercise of this right. |
