The Federal Transparency and Access to Public Governmental Information Law (LFTAIPG) comes into effect on July 12th, 2002. With this Law you can access any public information in the hands of the government.

A liaison unit exists in all agencies, entities, and decentralized bodies of the government, which is in charge of processing information requests from the public.

There are no public servants enabled to receive and process requests for access to information.

Access to information is very easy; you do not need to indicate the purpose of your request nor do you need to provide personal information.

If the information is classified as public, the response will be sent to you in the manner and through the means you indicated, in a term of no more than 20 working days.
