The Comisión Federal de Competencia has the power to resolve on the incorporation of  measures to protect and promote economic competition in the following cases:

•  Public auctions for the granting of concessions and permits in regulated sectors, and for selling public assets and enterprises.
•  Transferring the rights given by concession or permission through acquisition of the holder’s shares.
•  Granting of concessions and permissions in regulated sectors without public auction.
